Women have been making strides in the world of financial services for decades now. We’re seeing more and more women assume leadership roles as they help companies and individuals create solid financial plans for their futures. At Thrivent Financial our vision includes creating more opportunities for women. To that end, we’ve created diversity initiatives and programs that help and encourage women to keep reaching for more of their potential.
We held our first national event in October at the Women In Financial Services annual convention. We were sponsoring the event and wanted to find a way to support the women who were willing to invest in themselves by attending. It was important that we create community with genuine connections that help our women grow. Two of our core values are community and growth and they are very important at Thrivent Financial. Given the tough economic climate, we also wanted to make sure our event was inspiring, energizing and gave our members ideas they could put into practice once they were back home. Enter Live Dynamite.
We worked closely with Live Dynamite to create an amazing program for our team. Maryanne helped us with everything from promotional materials to rich program content. We developed a 90-minute work session where positive ideas were put right into action. It was easy to see people were engaged and felt lifted by the experience. We had a great turn out and have heard really positive feedback.
One of our goals was to ensure that our members felt a sense of connection and support post event as well. Many of our financial representatives work independently, and we wanted to find a way to help them stay inspired as they reach their goals. So we developed a Thrivent Financial Circle of Advisors program, powered by Live Dynamite. We announced it at the event and now have 39 members signed up for the program. We kicked off our first teleseminar in November to sustain the positive energy and excitement. It focused on living with gratitude and appreciating how much we have in our lives. We have four more planned and the buzz keeps growing.
It’s inspiring to see how willing people are to invest in themselves. As we watch the numbers in our program continue to grow, we can feel the power of genuine community coming to life in new ways. We’re very excited about our women’s Circle of Advisor’s program and the potential it holds. And we’re very grateful to Live Dynamite for helping us to expand and accelerate our momentum.
