Inspired to Act. Now.
I’m the guy who has read just about everything I could lay my hands on in the area of personal growth and self-development. And it was helpful. I’ve learned truly great things from these stories, conversations and books. I was inspired by the ideas and really planned to create a better life for myself–however I choose to define that. The problem was I never got around to putting the ideas or plans into action. Until now.
Live Dynamite has given me the tools to bridge the gap between Knowing & Doing. What I have really enjoyed, actually marveled in, are the conversations that I’ve been a part of in the Live Dynamite Circles–in the sessions and online. These conversations have generated ideas and FIRED ME UP. I’ve wanted to create more–and now I am.
I know that practicing what I’ve learned in the workshops is key to achieving success. I know that a positive attitude and language manifest in a variety of ways. And I know that the upside tools and structure have bridged the gap between what I know and what I do.
My Playbook is chockfull of ideas, thoughts and inspirations. I take out my expand & create cards to read between meetings. I am writing in my Daily Log (more days than not) and finding the patterns in my life that give me insight. I place my water glass next to my Big Thoughts coaster. It’s the one with Napoleon Hill’s quote, “Action is the real measure of intelligence.” I don’t want to cover up these inspiring words, because they drive me to DO. To plan. And DO!
I’m now more conscious of my actions and really feeling the gratitude I am experiencing. And tangible results have emerged. I set a goal at our first Circle and wrote it down on my expand & create cards. The card reads, “I am celebrating a 6-3, 6-2 win of my first tennis tournament by Dec. 31, 2007 or something better!”
I wrote this on Feb. 15 and have reviewed it regularly since. The upside is that mid-March I played in a tournament. I lost my first match, but came back to win the next four matches. And I took home a trophy–the Consolation Round Winner! My score was 6-4, 6-4, so not exactly as written. But I am proud of the results and love seeing the trophy on display.
I feel the momentum. It keeps me moving toward bigger, better and even more rewarding successes. This is what’s so cool about the Live Dynamite Circles and the Upside tools! It’s made it easier to chunk ideas down and take action. I know what I want to do. And I’M DOING IT!
